It's About Communication
What do you do?
I specialize in front-end development and interface design. Comfortable in both front and backend development I can be your one stop shop for a website.
25% of web users indicate "poor visual presentation" as the number one element that drives them away from websites.
From front to back, from scratch or evolving, I strive to make the internet better. Over the years I've developed a healthy fascination with the technology and future of the web. With that fascination has come knowledge of Typography, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Ruby and server administration. Whether with a team or working solo, knowing how all the bits fit means I'm more capable at any step of the process.
My goal is simple, to build a great website for you and your users. A home on the web where you can communicate your brand and product effectively.
So what are your actual services?
- Web Design
- Interface Design
- HTML/CSS Markup
- Web Development
- Front-end Javascript
- Ruby (& rails)
- PHP (WordPress development)
- Consulting
- Print Design
How Does It All Happen?
The process of designing and developing the website can be complicated. If you aren't the technical type I try to make this process as simple as possible for you while I handle the underlying complexities. If you are tech savvy I'm more than happy to discuss, teach and learn.

Research
Understanding what you really need from a website is where experience comes in. We'll lay out the goals and make a plan of attack a WWII general would be jealous of.
-
Develop and Design
This is when I take your goals, dreams, and best laid plans and turn them into a coherent useful website to get the job done. Of course I build with web standards...and love.

Launch and Learn
Want a truly great website? The process doesn’t end here, it just repeats. The web isn’t static, your website shouldn’t be either. Use user data to develop new ideas and features.
When not posing for paintings in full regalia I build websites.
Who is this man of mystery? A question oft posed when I talk about myself, and which I shall try to answer here. Curtis was raised by wolves and pampered by priests which would account for his obsession with the moon, and easy going attitude.
A sudden move from Southern California to West Virginia, Curtis was alienated due to his dark tan for months(until the tan went away and he eventually made friends). But in those months(and winter months) the internet became more and more intriguing. In those early days everything was fast moving and exciting...animated GIFs abounded and geocities was brand new.
Learning how to develop sites was a no-brainer and Curtis eventually was making sites for record labels and anything else that he fancied at the time.
Don't think Curtis was some nerd basking in CRT monitor rays all day though. Curtis(me by the way, I'm writing this in third person) is a manly man's man. He enjoys anything that uses gas to propel itself on wheels to dangerous speeds. He participates in sports(yelling at officials) and using his hands in the old fashioned ways: to build physical objects from wood and metal.
But make no mistake, I know more about SciFi than you.
